Queen of Hearts:
A Tribute to Princes Diana You were giving right from the start Your smile was straight from the heart Your eyes could light up the world You had an innocence, a glow so wherever you would go we felt your love overflow ~~~ Your road was harder than you planned but still you reached out your hand, you could always understand You knew simple things were the best Helping the hurting was your quest but now you’ve gone to rest—how can we be apart? ~~~ Oh, Queen of Hearts, your love lives on Queen of Hearts, we will carry on Yes, we will do our part, but how we miss you, Queen of Hearts How we miss you, Queen of Hearts ~~~ ~Poem (Lyrics) and Music Composed by Kelly Athena ~Piano Performance by Kelly Athena on featured MP3 To honor her, I composed this Princess Diana tribute song/poem in 1997. Diana supported the International Campaign to Ban Landmines and traveled to African nations to visit children maimed by landmines. She was the President of the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, and helped many other charities. She took her sons to work in a soup kitchen so they would have a bit of understanding of poverty. She was a sparkling fashion icon and a deep, warm, radiant being. Her love lives on through the millions of people who loved her. |
